“SAINT CAYETANO’S DOME” (2008)
Dimensions: 120 MTS ²
Location: Saint Cayetano Temple, Atotonilco, Jalisco, México
Technique: Acrylic on wall

With this mural, Ponzanelli manages to touch the sky embellishing the celestial vault of a beautiful temple in Atotonilco. At 15 meters and after challenging the perspective, the artist achieve perfection through the divine deformation that a job like this required. Among mystical and solemn figures, the painter plays with the picaresque presence of cherubs -all, portraits of babies from friends, relatives and his own daughter Isabela-, to frame the miraculous interconnection of the Messiah’s birth, and the exemplary life of Saint Cajetan; a materialized inspiration that undoubtedly makes anyone look up, and comfort them during their prayers.
